Principal Faculty and Disclosure of Financial Interests or Other Affiliations With Commercial Organizations

No support from commercial sources was used in the development and production of this CME program.

The American Psychiatric Association requires disclosure by faculty of CME activities of any significant financial interests or other affiliations with commercial organizations that may have a direct or indirect interest in the subject matter of the educational activity. A "financial interest" may include, but is not limited to, being a shareholder in the organization, being on retainer with the organization, or having research or honoraria paid by the organization. An "affiliation" may include holding a position on an advisory committee or some other role or benefit to a supporting organization.

The existence of such relationships does not necessarily constitute a conflict of interest, but the prospective audience must be informed of the faculty's affiliation with every commercial entity by means of an acknowledgment in the printed and electronic materials. This policy is intended to openly identify any potential conflicts so that participants can form their own judgments about the material presented.

Unapproved or investigational uses of products may be discussed in this CME program. "Off-label" use of medications by individual physicians is permitted and common. Decisions about off-label use can be guided by the scientific evidence, other scientific literature, and clinical experience.
